Finding the perfect blush shade is actually a lot easier than most women expect. One trick that is practically foolproof? Match the side of your lip. That doesn’t quite work? Try matching the shade of your blush to your bare but moisturized lips for the most natural looking flush.
Alabaster to Fair-Pink is the shade most people with fair skin. Think pinched cheeks on a snowy day. A baby pink gives a subtle flush even if that sounds a little odd trust us on this one. Our Peony Lip and Cheek Rouge is our go to here.
Light to Medium: The most universally flattering, can’t-go-wrong blush shade? Peach. It is a shade most artists pick for multiple skin tones. On fair skin, peach is especially flattering if your complexion has yellow undertones. On more medium tones think apricot (our light bronzer doubles well for this purpose. Your other choice? Rose-y plum or mauve shades like our Burnt Rose give a nude warm flush to anyone or try our Fawn Powder Blush.
Tan to Deeper– If you have deeper tones don’t intimidated by bolder colors. Darker skin works well with richer bolder pigments meaning almost anything can work. If you go too sheer you risk looking muddy,or not even having color show at all. Remember when we said peach was universally flattering? Well if you pop it up it becomes coral (our shade is cantaloupe). Or try a deep rose color.
