And what better place to start than with Catherine The Great? And it is a great read! Robert K. Massie  is Pulitzer Prize–winning author with a slew of titles focused on Russian history including Peter the Great, Nicholas and Alexandra, and The Romanovs. His biography captures the story of how an obscure German princess became one of the most remarkable, powerful, and captivating women in history. There’s a reason she’s called The Great after all!
