We often get asked what the difference is between a BB Cream, and a Foundation. Well, the biggest difference is that most foundations have one purpose, and it is to even out the skintone. Not that there is anything wrong with doing one thing and doing it well. Heck, that’s probably why a lot of brands and beauty gurus swear by lines that have 45 shades for warm & cool tones and mix three of them together for different areas of their face. That’s “correct” technique for perfectly flawless skin with coverage that does just one thing: makes all the complexion woes disappear under it’s coverage. They use over products for all the other things a BB cream does.
Whereas, a BB cream usually has an added benefit (or two or three in our case) aside from evening out the skintone. Because some of us are busy and want more bang for our buck and are not a Youtuber or makeup artist with an hour to kill. We’ve got 5 minutes. So for example, our Radiant Complexion Beauty Balm has a built in primer silica which reduces the look of larger pores,, makes the formula super blendable and helps it stay put without the need for a powder or setting spray for most women (some of us are oilier though so we have one just in case). The Beauty Balm also has hyaluronic acid, which is a humectant that holds in water which helps with plumping fine lines for a flawless application making it great for anti-aging as well. You can read more about hyaluronic acid here. That means it moisturizes. So we prime, smooth over pores, even skin tone, moisturize, and help your skin look younger. That’s a lot of “doing” for a $22 product just under an ounce (most brands charge you upwards of $40)
