We cover how to “read” an eye palette earlier in our blog. It turns out a few great colors can be mixed and matched for a host of looks on any woman. A basic application is a 3 step process: a base layer, a highlighter & a contour shade. Plus matte shades double as brow fillers & even eye liner! Your ideal look can be a mix of shimmer & matte finishes for maximum versatility in the size of a credit card.
For this look for Erica we wanted a little bit of shimmer that works day or night but we anchor it with a matte contour shade in her crease.
Erica here has a deeper complexion so can make great use of the third matte tone in our palette as crease layer in a day or lighter look. You might remember we used it as a base layer for a smoky eye look earlier. To play it up for more shimmey day eye look we add S3 as her base all over color and then highlight up to her brow bone with M2 as a highlighter. Fun fact M2 on fair to light girl girl (think snow white) would be a contouring matte shade. Crazy right? That’s why we say it is all about finding the mix and match look that is right for your skin and your style. learning to “read” a palette and come up with recipes right for you. Go grab yours now!
