As per usual our Friday Reads focuses on page turners from brilliant women authors. Kelly Link is a New England short story writer whose tales never go quite where you think they might. Her Pulitzer Prize–nominated Get in Trouble, (many named it a must read in 2015) is a collection that covers a lot of ground in 9 stories including hurricanes, astronauts, evil twins, bootleggers, Ouija boards, iguanas, The Wizard of Oz, superheroes, and the Pyramids!
She has been hailed by Michael Chabon as “the most darkly playful voice in American fiction” and by Neil Gaiman as “a national treasure” and those aren’t the only glowing reviews!
Our personal favorite? The Chicago Tribune calls it “A zero-gravity vacation in a dust jacket.” Sign us up!
